This is Chinese calligraphy art. The images show a Chinese character, 'Dragon'. The dynamic strokes represents the physical shape and movement of a dragon.
Taiwan is strongly influenced by Chinese culture. These artworks represent my connection with the culture.
Bamboo
It represents the character of a humble gentlemen in traditional Chinese culture.
"水能性淡为吾友，竹解心虚即我师。" This quote is derived from a famous Chinese poet Bai Juyi in Tang dynasty. This quote is translated as 'People who are like water, pure without desire, should be my friends. People who are as humble as bamboos, empty inside, meaning the capability to take in others advice, should be my teacher.'
